Translucent blinds (also known as light filtering blinds) give an effect similar to frosted glass, with the advantage that they can be rolled away to leave a clear window when desired. They allow light to come into the house without people being able to see through them night or day. They give a degree of insulation, though not as much as thermally backed blinds. They can be an excellent solution in a bathroom or living room, or any other place where privacy is required both day or night, but light exclusion is not a priority. And fabrics range from plain and textured through to a riot of colour from our Louvolite range. Just be aware though, that many of the Louvolite translucent and blockout fabrics come in narrower widths than the fabrics made especially for the Australasian markets.
